- Magnets are generally fragile and it has strong magnetic force, so there are possibility of injury according to flying debris and/or pinching hands.
- Magnets are vulnerable to impact, and if cracked or chipped, their properties and strength may deteriorate. When used in motors, etc., please consider measures to prevent scattering of fragments when designing products.
- Magnets may have minute magnetic substances adhering to them even when they are not magnetized.
- Bringing magnets close to magnetic recording media or electronic equipment, there are possibility of malfunction or accidents.
- Avoid using or storing the product in the following environments. It may cause corrosion of the magnet and
deterioration of its characteristics and strength.- Under corrosive gas atmosphere (Cl2, NH3, SOx, etc.)
- Highly conductive environment (e.g. in water containing electrolyte)
- Under hydrogen atmosphere
- Acidic, alkaline, organic solvents, etc.
- In water, in oil
- Alloy powder of rare earth magnets is designated as a Class 2 (flammable solid), Class 1 hazardous material under the Japanese Fire Services Act. The fine powder produced by friction or processing during magnet use may ignite, so please be careful or do not use in manufacturing processes where magnet powder may be generated.
- Do not place magnets within reach of children
- Be careful not to put the magnet in your mouth. If swallowed, consult a physician immediately.
- People with metal allergies may experience skin irritation or redness when exposed to magnets.
